Best Bali 90 Day Visa Options

Bali Visas That Let You Stay 90 Days (or Longer)

For 90 days in Bali without leaving Indonesia, the most practical option for tourists is the C1 Tourist Visit Visa (formerly often referred to as 211A). It starts with up to 60 days and is extendable, so you can legally reach (and exceed) 90 days by doing an extension.

1. Single-Entry Visitor Visa (C1/211A)

The C1 Tourist Visit Visa (previously 211A) is the best and most practical option for travelers who want to stay in Bali for around 90 days without leaving Indonesia. It is designed for longer tourist stays and offers clear rules and easy extensions.

Length of stay

  • Initial stay: 60 days, counted from the date you arrive in Indonesia.
  • Extensions: you can extend twice, with each extension granting 60 days, for a maximum total stay of 180 days.

Requirements

  • Passport valid at least 6 months.
  • Recent color photo.
  • Proof of funds: personal bank statement showing minimum USD 2,000 (or equivalent) (commonly last 3 months).

Sponsor/Guarantor

For most applicants, no sponsor is required for C1. Exceptions apply (e.g., stateless persons, certain travel documents, or certain nationalities listed by Immigration).

Price

  • Government visa fee (PNBP): IDR 1,000,000
  • Agent service fee (BaliEasy): IDR 2,500,000

2. Indonesia D12 Multiple-Entry Pre-Investment Visa

The D12 Multiple-Entry Pre-Investment Visa allows foreigners to enter Indonesia multiple times while surveying or preparing future investment plans, and it is also suitable for those who want to stay up to 90 days in Bali.

Length of stay

  • Multiple entry, with up to 180 days stay per arrival, counted from your arrival date.
  • Extension: stay permit can be extended once for another 180 days, and overall stay can reach up to 1 year or 2 years depending on whether you choose the 1-year or 2-year D12.

Requirements

  • Passport valid at least 6 months
  • Bank statement (last 3 months) showing minimum USD 5,000 (or equivalent).
  • Recent color photo.
  • CV (Curriculum Vitae).
  • Travel itinerary.
  • Supporting letter/invitation/correspondence from a government agency or private institution explaining the relationship with the applicant (listed as a requirement / special requirement).

Sponsor / Guarantor

No sponsor required for D12.

Price

  • 1-year D12: IDR 5,000,000 total (Visa IDR 3,000,000 + Verification II IDR 2,000,000).
  • 2-year D12: IDR 7,000,000 total (Visa IDR 5,000,000 + Verification II IDR 2,000,000).
  • Agent service fee (BaliEasy): IDR 4,500,000

3. E33G (Digital Nomad / Remote Worker Visa)

The E33G Digital Nomad / Remote Worker Visa is designed for foreigners who work remotely for companies outside Indonesia and want to live in Bali.

It is suitable for those planning a long stay of up to one year, including travelers who want to stay around 90 days or longer while working remotely.

Length of stay

  • Up to 1 year in Indonesia.
  • Extension: The E33G visa can be extended, with each extension granted for up to 1 year
  • Total stay: Renewable annually, allowing a multi-year stay in Indonesia

Requirements

  • Passport (valid at least 6 months)
  • Personal bank statement (last 3 months) showing minimum USD 2,000 (or equivalent)
  • Recent photograph
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Travel itinerary
  • Proof of annual income of at least USD 60,000/year (bank account evidence)
  • Employment contract with a company established outside Indonesia

Sponsor/Guarantor

Price

  • Government fee (PNBP): IDR 7,000,000 for 1 year
  • Agent service fee (BaliEasy): IDR 16,700,000

Important Note: Apply Yourself vs Using a Visa Agency

Applying by yourself through Indonesia’s official eVisa system can work if you fully understand the rules, but small mistakes (such as incorrect documents, wrong visa selection, or formatting issues) can lead to rejection, long delays, or loss of non-refundable government fees.

There is usually no direct support if something goes wrong, and fixing errors often means starting over.

Using BaliEasy minimizes these risks by checking your documents before submission and handling the entire process for you.

With faster processing, correct visa selection, and direct human support via WhatsApp and email, you avoid unnecessary stress and stay compliant from start to finish.

Other 90-Day Stay Options (Not Recommended)

These options can reach around 90 days, but are generally not recommended due to higher costs, more complexity, or unnecessary requirements compared to C1, D12, or E33G.

Single-Entry Visas

  • C12 with Extension (non-tourism variant)
While it may reach roughly 90 days, this option is often more expensive than the standard C1 Tourist Visa and comes with less clarity on permitted activities. For most tourists, it offers no added benefit.
  • C2 Visitor Visa with Extension
This visa is intended for specific visit purposes, not long holidays. The cost-to-stay value is poor, making it inefficient for travelers who simply want to stay in Bali.

Multiple-Entry Visas

  • D1 Multiple-Entry Visit Visa
Designed for official or specific visit purposes, not tourism. It is more expensive and unnecessarily complex for travelers planning a straightforward 90-day stay.
  • D2 Multiple-Entry Visit Visa
Although it can reach around 90 days through multiple extensions, extension fees accumulate quickly. In practice, it offers no meaningful advantage over the C1 or D12 visas for most visitors.

Long-Term Visas

  • Investor ITAS
Intended for foreigners making a serious business investment in Indonesia. It is far more expensive and administratively heavy than needed for a 90-day stay.
  • Student Visa
Requires official enrollment in an accredited educational institution. Not suitable unless you are genuinely studying in Indonesia.
